A Tale of Two Bodies

About the book: The second book in the Waterfell Tweed Cozy Mystery series!

Every bad guy believes they are the good guy.

When a squatter from Waterfell Manor is killed in a hit and run, bookshop owner Sandy Shaw is determined to leave the police to deal with the case.

But when a second attack happens, and the police seem focused on the wrong person, Sandy realises she must take matters into her own hands.

Can she solve the case before anyone else gets hurt?

A Tale of Two Bodies is a novella of around 35,000 words. Light and cozy, the book follows our female amateur sleuth, the village of Waterfell Tweed, and a whole host of quirky characters! Each book in this series can be read as a standalone (but is better enjoyed if read in order), and is free from swearing, sex, violence and cliffhangers. Book One is titled Once Upon a Crime

My review: This book was really fun! I love the whole mystery vibe. I love Sandy's bookshop/bakery. I really need a place like that close to me, except I'd probably spend too much time there! I love that she cooks things that I've never heard of, but really want to try.

Sandy is a fun character, I'm glad to see her again and to know that there will be more books where she gets to solve mysteries. I love that she and really the whole town are just a bit...odd, or quirky. However you want to say it. This one introduces us to even more quirky characters and I love that!

The plot of this one is suspenseful, just like the first one. While it looks like the suspect is almost cut and dried, that ends up not being the case. I had a hard time figuring out just who the killer was. And I never would have guessed on this one!

This is a quick read. I read most of it in one afternoon. That's just the kind I like, quick, fun, quirky and clean!

I was sent an e-copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
