Onboard for Love

About the book: Alicia Noir's ex-husband, Trav, has always valued his race car more than his family, just like her dad who died in his race car. When their eight-year old son pulls them into the cruise vacation of a lifetime, she has to find a way to resist Trav's charm, his well-formed chest, and especially his unending kindness. Will vacation reignite their love or is their romance destined to crash and burn for the final time?

My review: This book was a perfect escape! I loved the whole premise ex-husband and ex-wife thrown together on a cruise ship for the sake of their young son! It makes for a fun story, especially since neither is actually over the other yet.

I really liked Alicia. I liked the way she was willing to do pretty much anything for her son. Including go on a cruise with someone she didn't really want to. There's a scene near the end that was pretty gut wrenching for me to read. I can't even imagine how a mother or a father would go through that experience and not be dying inside.

Then there's Trav. He comes across as kind of a fun loving flirt, but what you don't see is just how much he was torn up by Alicia leaving him, and the reason she left him was false to begin with, but she didn't know that. So many misunderstandings between these two. It was really fun to see them fall back in love and go through the things they did together.

And I really loved their son Preston. He really was a master at throwing the two together any chance he had! That made the plot so much fun. I really loved this one! If you're needing a cruise like I do about now, go read it, it'll help!

I was sent an e-copy in exchange for an honest review.
