Kiss Me in the Rain

About the book: Will she risk the home she treasures for the man she loves?

Cypress Grove has always been a treasured constant in Layla's perfect life. Now the mansion will be sold to the highest bidder if she doesn’t date an investor's son. The problem? The man she really wants just rolled into town.

Tyler is done being responsible and never going after what he wants. Layla's finally given him the courage to quit grad school and use his student loans to flip houses. And he's decided to move near Cypress Grove to do it.

When Layla happens upon suspicious ledgers at the mansion, her family's financial woes take a sinister turn. As Tyler and Layla work together to find the culprit, the attraction between them threatens to burst into flames. But admitting their feelings could spell disaster for Cypress Grove.

My review: I'm loving this new Destined for Love series! It's the Mansions series and every book includes a great mansion as part of the plot. I loved the idea of Layla's mansion. It's Cypress Grove in South Carolina and it's been part of Layla's life for as long as she can remember. But...the mansion is costing her family a lot of money and things are getting bad. To solve the problem, her dad proposes that she date Grant, a man she hasn't ever met so that his father will give them money to make everything work out.

It's terrible timing for Layla. She's just gotten home from Europe where she fell in love with Tyler. Things only get worse, Grant's father announces an engagement when neither one of the couple knew he would and they have to scramble to come up with an engagement story. To make matters worse, Tyler has come to Cypress Grove to work and he happens to be there when the engagement is announced. This leads to all kind of craziness for Layla and for Tyler too, he doesn't know the engagement is fake.

I loved the plot of this one. There's a hidden mystery that Layla has to figure out. And the answer to the mystery pretty much rocks her whole world. I liked Layla, she's willing to work hard to save a house that's important to her. She's willing to think outside of the box and try to figure out just what's wrong. And she doesn't give up on love, even when it seems impossible.

Tyler is great too! I liked the way he didn't give up on Layla, even when he thought he didn't stand a chance. He was willing to work hard to accomplish all of his goals and go after what he wanted. And he was able to see what Layla couldn't because she was too close to the situation.

Go grab this one and make sure to read all of these great Destined for Love: Mansions Collection books!

I was sent an e-copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
