Blog Tour - Mormon Girl; Incognito

About the book: Hilarious heroine Jacklyn Wyatt is back—this time in a dicey Vegas adventure! Jacklyn “Jack” Wyatt is just your average Mormon girl—other than her brief stint with the FBI, her subsequent brush with death, and her dreamy boyfriend, Special Agent Damon Wade. But in the eight months since she helped save a kidnapping victim, Jack’s life has returned to its mostly stagnant state. She’s still trapped in a dead-end job, and even her relationship seems to be stuck in a rut. These days, adventures are few and far between. So when Damon heads to Las Vegas on assignment, Jack sees the perfect opportunity to surprise her boyfriend and rekindle the spark in their relationship. But the surprise is on her: she has just landed herself in the middle of a high-stakes operation involving Russian criminals. Unwittingly drawn undercover once more, Jack is all too aware that the survival of Damon and his associates depends on the success of her charade. In the unfamiliar world of luxurious limos, exclusive nightclubs, and gambling, Jack must convince the high-rolling hustlers that she is a terrifying international arms dealer. If only she knew anything about poker. Or guns . . .

My review: I was so excited to see that Jack is back! I loved her in A Date with Danger and I really wanted to know what happened to her and Damon after that one. This book was so much fun and the story was so great!

I loved Jack, I loved the way she always tries to do the right thing. I loved the way she went about surprising Damon and I wasn't terribly surprised when things didn't go quite the way she planned. I liked that, while this part of the story was a bit predictable, what happened next was anything but! Jack's character just got better and better for me in this book. I loved the strength she showed throughout her undercover job that she didn't intend to be part of. I also loved the strength she showed when Damon through her for a loop. It was really fun to see this whole story through her eyes, to know that underneath she was shouting for joy at all the things she was able to see and do in Las Vegas, while she had to hold herself in character on the outside. And I really loved the parts where she had to act knowledgeable about something she had no clue about!

I liked Damon too. While none of this story is shown through his eyes, I liked that he was honest with Jack. I liked the way he was protective of her, even when he was not supposed to be when she was undercover. He worked so hard to protect her, even putting himself in danger.

This book was so great, I really enjoyed the plot. I thought that the author did a great job with the sights, sounds, and smells of Vegas. Reading it was almost like taking a trip there. I'm hoping for more books by this author about Jack and Damon!

I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
