About the book: When Eadlyn became the first princess of Illéa to hold her own Selection, she didn’t think she would fall in love with any of her thirty-five suitors. She spent the first few weeks of the competition counting down the days until she could send them all home. But as events at the palace force Eadlyn even further into the spotlight, she realizes that she might not be content remaining alone.
Eadlyn still isn’t sure she’ll find the fairytale ending her parents did twenty years ago. But sometimes the heart has a way of surprising you…and soon Eadlyn must make a choice that feels more impossible—and more important—than she ever imagined.
My review: I've loved this whole series, my only regret is that I didn't wait until they all came out and then read them all then. It seemed to me, that especially on this last one, I had a hard time remembering just who everyone was and what had been happening.
I really liked Eadlyn in this book. So many things are going on in her life, it seems as though it would have been easy to let the Selection end and just move on, but she knows that her country is invested in it and she needs to finish what she's started. I love the way she is determined and she almost always puts her own needs last.
I liked the guys in this one. Eadlyn has really lucked out with the men in the Selection, the ones that she has left are kind and each of them has something different to offer as a partner in ruling Illea. None of Eadlyn's choices in this book are easy, but she follows her heart and ends up where she knows she should be.
These books are all cute and clean, I'd pass them on to my daughter. I liked the plot of this one, and I LOVED the way it ended. So cute, wishing for more of these now!
