Pass Interference

About the book: Hyde Metcalf, wide receiver for the Denver Storm, is recovering from pneumonia and needs the best personal trainer in Colorado to get him in shape for the season. With his dad missing again and his mom fighting Alzheimer’s, it's crucial he stays close to home.

Lily Udy idolizes Hyde Metcalf and the Denver Storm. Her dream is to be a team trainer someday. When Hyde walks into the gym she’s working at and her boss gives her the opportunity to train him, it’s more than a dream come true.

Hyde thinks he may have found the perfect trainer and maybe more with Lily, until another man who wants Lily for himself, the media, his mom, and a horrible accident come between them. Happily ever after may be a pass that neither of them can jump high enough to reach.

My review: I knew I would love this book just from reading the first chapter and I did! I loved everything about it.

I loved Lily, she's a strong young woman making her way in the world as a personal trainer. I loved that she was so unselfish that every little bit of extra money she had went to her large family so that her younger siblings could be able to go to college or have money for the little incidentals that always seem to come up.

I loved Hyde, he's a football player who needs someone to get his body back into shape after a fight with pneumonia, and he's as real and down to earth as they come. I loved the way he fell for Lily right away but she took a little persuading, because she didn't necessarily want the problems that come with being rich and famous. But she ends up with a few of those anyway...

I loved the chemistry between Hyde and Lily, even before either of them would admit to it, it was there. This book was cute, romantic and clean. A perfect example of a great romance without all of the yuck that comes with some of them.
