My review: I was kind of amazed by just how much I enjoyed this book! I read and enjoyed The Lincoln Hypothesis when it came out a few years ago, so I probably shouldn't have been surprised. What I found when I read this book was a well-researched, interesting book containing ideas about George Washington that I had never thought myself before.
I enjoyed reading the author's personal stories, both about his research and about his life. I really enjoyed reading about his childhood church that he attended. Now I want to go and check out that building for myself, I wonder if they do tours the way they do for some of the older buildings around my area.
I really appreciate the amount of research that must have gone into this book. There are tons of historical facts, quotes and visits to historical places that the author would have had to have gone through and made in order to have written such an amazing book.
I love the way that the author used what happened in Washington's time and compared it both to our time and to times in the scriptures. I especially loved the way he compared Washington to Captain Moroni, wow, talk about mind blowing.
This is one non-fiction book that I didn't want to put down, I highly recommend everyone read it.
