Picture Perfect

About the book: Liz, Gemma, Arie, Jess, and Drew have been best friends since creating “the Five” at Aliso Creek High School. But that was over ten years ago, and each is still trying to find that perfect someone . . . if perfect is even possible.

In PICTURE PERFECT, Gemma has never done anything out of the ordinary, until her boyfriend Randy starts to ignore her. But even cutting and dyeing her hair doesn’t get his attention. She decides to join her old high school friends for spring vacation, only to be faced with Drew, her best friend who suddenly seems interested in her as more than a friend. Gemma must determine if her heart is on the rebound or if it’s finally met its true match.

My review: This is a really fun series written by Heather B. Moore. I love that the series is written about 5 friends and that there is a book about each of them. These books are cute, clean, romantic and they are all really quick to read.

This book is kind of fun, because they are getting together for a small reunion, so you get to meet even more of the 5. I loved Gemma's character. She is a great young woman trying to make her way in the world doing what she loves, which happens to be running a flower shop. But she never has much time to do anything for herself or even with her boyfriend. She's not terribly disappointed when he breaks up with her, she decides to do some much needed clothes shopping and move on. I loved that she was strong enough to not need a guy to tell her that she was worth something. What a great character!

This book is a novella, so the plot is quick and it moves really fast. I liked that, but sometimes it seemed as though it was hard to get to know some of the characters, like Drew. He seems like a great guy. Gemma likes him, so he must be, but you don't see anything from his point of view, so I didn't really know for myself. If you're looking for a clean, quick, fun read this book won't disappoint you!

I was sent an e-copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
