Blog Tour - Flim Flam and Other Such Gobbledygook

About the book: It’s party time in the barnyard! But some of the animals don’t want to invite everyone. This adorable rhyming children’s book reminds us that little differences don’t matter and that we can be friends with everyone, even if we don’t all look the same. Contains fun words to read and has colorful illustrations. It’s a perfect bedtime book to enjoy again and again!

My review: This book is so cute! I love the illustrations. There are several that were so funny that I had to giggle. I love the words, they are perfect and well written. They all rhyme. I loved that as they're invited to the party each of the animals can think of a reason just why they can't attend the party if so and so attends. The wise rooster refuses to buy their arguments and instead teaches them a lesson that they all need to learn about kindness and getting along. What a timely lesson that we can all learn something from. I can't wait to read this book to our kids and talk about the cute lesson with them!

I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

About the author: If she’s not sitting at the computer writing, Melica Hudgens can usually be found out in the garden pulling weeds or finding a place to plant something new. Melica also enjoys riding bicycles with her husband, taking walks, and enjoying the gifts of nature with her grandchildren.

About the illustrator: Jay Fontano is a drawer. Not the kind in your dresser. The kind who draws. And that’s the fun kind.
