An Event to Remember Tour

An event to remember or forgetAn Event to Remember... or Forget Sienna Harris is a girl with a plan. Her days of slaving away at Carrie’s Classic Events and More are numbered as she is on the brink of launching her own event planning company. Her relationship with Luke Price is headed in the right direction and they are approaching their one-year mark. The future is looking bright and she knows that life could not get any better . . . That is until her perfectly planned world is thrown upside down by the unexpected arrival of someone from Luke’s past. She receives the shock of her life on the night of the biggest event of her career. Sienna will now have to pull it all together without a list or a plan. The question is, can she do it?

My review: This is a really fun book. I really liked the plot and the characters. I really enjoyed seeing things, though Sienna's eyes, her crazy boss Carrie was especially fun to see through her eyes. I liked that Sienna was a little bit torn about her boyfriend, knowing that he doesn't always treat her the way he should, but caring about him anyway and wanting to be a good, loyal girlfriend. This was a "clean" romance in that there isn't anything shown that's sexual, but I was a bit uncomfortable with some of the language in this one. There wasn't anything overly bad, but I really find it offensive when female characters are referred to as a b-word. I really liked this book, but I know I would have liked it a whole lot more with less language.

About the bookCompassionate Soldier illuminates fascinating yet largely unknown stories of men and women whose humanity led them to perform courageous acts of mercy and compassion amid the chaos and carnage of war. Arranged by war from the American Revolution to the Iraq War and global in perspective, it features extraordinary stories of grace under fire from valiant soldiers and noncombatants who rose above the inhumanity of lethal conflict and chose compassion, even knowing their actions could put their lives and liberty at risk.

Included are the stories of Patrick Ferguson, a British officer during the American Revolution who had the chance to kill George Washington but refused to shoot a man in the back; Richard Kirkland, a Confederate soldier during the Civil War who took water to wounded Union soldiers during the battle of Fredericksburg; and Oswald Boelcke, a German WWI flying ace who was one of the most influential tacticians of early air combat and was known for making sure …
