Micah and Alicia are tired of the heat one summer's day. They decide the best way to get out of the heat is to use their dad's special phone and travel back in time to the England of John Taylor's day. Micah and Alicia have used their dad's special phone previously to learn about Brigham Young's time, but this time they are not going alone, this time their dad is going to go with them. Or is he? When they arrive in England their dad is not there. Unsure of just what happened, they are able to meet John Taylor and get to know him through key events in his life. They also gain a greater testimony of living prophets. Their dad made several changes to the phone since the last time they were able to use it, and one of those changes was to add a puzzle. Micah and Alicia must complete the puzzle on the phone to get back home. But the phone battery runs out when they are still in France,Website Micah and Alicia must find all the faith they possess to figure out a solution to charge the phone in a time when there was no electricity so they can get home and not be stuck in the past.
This was a really fun book! I love the way that Christy Monson teaches kids about faith, testimony and Prophets of the latter days. This series is engaging, entertaining and educational for kids of all ages! I learned so much myself about the Prophet John Taylor, I especially loved the scene where Micah and Alicia meet John Taylor's kids and they tell true stories about his teachings to them. I also enjoyed the Primary scene, it's pretty cool because the Sister Rogers mentioned is one of my 5th great aunts. Love this series! Can't wait for the next one.
