The Royal Treatment

The Royal Treatment is the second in the Princess for Hire series. I think that it's pretty hilarious that these books are set in a small town in Idaho. That's where I grew up, although, I've never heard of Sproutville, so I'm not sure if it's a real place or not. In this book Desi has started 8th grade, things are going at least OK for her and she's getting ready to try out for her school play, which happens to be Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. And of course, she's trying to complete her BEST (Betterment of Elite Sub Training) for Facade. Her BEST is to help her be more able to handle a specific more cultured princess, it's what a Level 2 sub must do for every new princess that they are going to sub for. Desi's just waiting to finish her BEST for her first job as a Level 2, but she's having a hard time finishing her musical, and speaking requirements. Just as she finishes her magical tryout for her school play, she discovers from her agent Meredith that she's completed her BEST, and it's time for her first job as a Level 2, and an awesome lunch with the director of Facade, Genevieve, but as time goes on Desi's uncertain just what Genevieve's interest in her and her magic is. This was a fun book, I've really enjoyed reading this series so far, I like that it's clean, written for teens and just a fun series. I can't wait to read more of these books!
