Disney At Dawn

Finn, Charlene, Philby, Willa, Maybeck, Jez and Amanda are back as the Kingdom Keepers in the second book in the series. Actually Jez and Amanda aren't Kingdom Keepers, they always seem to be able to help with whatever the Keepers need though! The Kingdom Keepers have been invited to the Magic Kingdom in celebration of their holographic hosts programing being fixed. They are to be included in the big parade with their DHI's leading the way. But it looks like a big storm is coming up and then Finn and the other Keepers spot Amanda and Jez who appear to be trying to warn them about something going wrong in Cinderella Castle. But what? Finn and Philby check it out and stumble upon Maleficent's prison in the upper apartment of Cinderella Castle. But she's able to channel the lightning from the big storm so that she can escape. She uses Tink's zip line across the park and escapes into the Animal Kingdom. Of course, it's really not a good idea to give Maleficent unlimited access to the animals and Disney happens to be experimenting with animal DHI's at the same time. Not a good combination! So the Keepers are called out by Wayne to stop her, and when Jez disappears again, they know they must act quickly. I liked this book more than the first one, maybe because it seemed more real, or I knew the characters better. This is an action packed book that anyone fascinated with Disney parks will enjoy.
