The Convenient Groom

This is the last of the Denise Hunter books for at least a little while (I can't remember if I have anymore or not!) Kate is the main character in this book. She's a relationship specialist, she's also very schedule oriented, she counsels couples with marriage difficulties, she has a new book coming out Finding Mr Right-For-You all about how to find the perfect marriage partner, and she's getting married to her own Mr Right, Bryan, in about 4 hours. But she discovers that he hasn't picked up his tux on time so she calls to make sure that everything is all right and that's when he tells her that he's not going to marry her. Kate is devastated, not only was she in love with him, but her wedding complete with surprise groom is scheduled to coincide with the release of her book. She's in her landlord, Lucas Wright's shop when she was talking to Bryan and he practically insists that she let him stand in for Bryan. She's so devastated and doesn't know what else to do, so she agrees. Little does she know that even though the whole thing is a sham for her, for Lucas, who's been in love with her for months, the whole thing is very real. She thinks she loves Bryan, but there's just something about Lucas, even though he's all wrong for her, or so she thinks! This was a fun book, some of the situations Kate gets herself into are so funny! I loved it!
