I really enjoyed this book. It's about a girl named Meliaria and her brother Branairic who have promised their dying father that they won't let the king, who is ruling over their land, continue to tax their people on everything they own. She gets captured, and then she has to get rescued. This was a really fun book to read, I really loved the characters and the situations they got themselves into and out of!
